After the incident, Mohamed Al-Hout, the chairman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that joy firing in the areas around Beirut airport is very common. However, due to this, seven to eight aircraft are hit by bullets every year. However, this was the first incident on Wednesday, when the plane was shot down during landing.
“The joyous firing, which has become common in Lebanon, must be stopped, as it is a major threat to the airport and air traffic,” Hout said. (Lebanon Shot In The Plane)
