Pakistan News: Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif shot dead– Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif has been shot dead in Kenya, his wife confirmed on Monday. Sharif’s wife Javeria Siddiqui said on Twitter, “I lost friend, husband and my favorite journalist today,
according to police he was shot in Kenya.” He wrote, ‘Respect our privacy and please do not share our family photos, personal details and their last pictures from the hospital.’
According to the report of Dawn news, Foreign Office spokesman Asim Iftikhar said that the High Commission of Pakistan in Kenya is getting information from the officials. There is a wave of mourning from politicians and allies on the death of the journalist. President Arif Alvi called Sharif’s death a loss for journalism and Pakistan. According to the report of Dawn News, journalists Kamran Khan and Shahbaz Rana demanded an inquiry into Sharif’s murder.
